September Update

Green Mountain continues to develop its infrastructure and business expansion plans for FY 2012 which started on October 1.

In September we concentrated on several projects including refining the logistics, potential operators and additional technology to use for the Berwick frack water treatment facility.  With the recent decision of the Pennsylvania EPA to limit the treatment of frack water at municipal water treatment plants, the demand for water treatment facilities and technology solutions has increased dramatically.

Our treatment strategy is gaining momentum quickly.  Alternative technologies such as mobile treatment facilities used at well drilling sites have sludge that must be disposed of, (usually buried out of state), and the energy costs are often greater than wellsite treatment savings.  Other solutions such as lined, open pit, treatment facilities may leak toxic chemicals into water supplies and treatment times can be long limiting the amount of water that can be treated.  The above ground tank facility at Berwick may be the ideal solution depending upon operational permit conditions such as the volume of trucks allowed in/out of the facility in a given period, the treatment levels required (thus determining the amount of frack water that can be treated in a given time) and available sites and costs for disposal of any untreated waste products.  We continue to refine our Berwick game plan as the pieces of the puzzle come together.

During September we also put together plans for an Engineering Services Division which could provide technical support and oversee operations at the Berwick facility as well as provide related engineering services for remediation and fluid treatment for onshore and offshore drilling facilities.

During the first quarter of 2012 we hope to complete our financial disclosure requirements to allow easier trading of our public stock, appoint a new advisory board to accelerate our business development in energy services and agricultural products divisions, and increase our shareholder value with new business.

Shale Gas Boom Creates $3B Market Opportunity To Clean Marcellus Fracking Water

August 24, 2011 Green Mountain Development continues to investigate the logistics of implementing the shale gas recycling plant using the the Beach Haven Oil Terminal located in Berwick, Pennsylvania in the Marcellus Shale region.

A recent article in Forbes Magazine, Shale Gas Boom Creates Market Opportunity To Clean Fracking Water said “The resulting market for wastewater disposal and treatment in this region alone will exceed $3 billion per year…”

Obviously with this market opportunity and the tankage capacity of the Beach Haven terminal, there is a good potential for near term revenue generation if we can get the engineering, permits and logistics underway in 2011.  Stay tuned for updates….

July Update

July 15, 2011

The company’s recent announcement about utilizing the Beach Haven terminal for brine water recycling has generated interest from several gas and oil drilling companies requesting additional information about the facility and the recycling technology.  The company is in discussion with the parties to determine the scope of interest and needs.

The Company is also entertaining discussions from third parties interested in developing private label packaging and distribution logistics for the company’s Bi-Agra(TM) agriculture products.  GMND intends to launch distribution of the agriculture products to large scale food producers for yield enhancement, water conservation and improved plant health.  Over the past six months, the Bi-Agra(TM)/Bio-Miracle(TM) products have undergone evaluation for use on coffee, corn and sesame seed production for international growers.  The company is outsourcing the packaging, warehousing and and product  fulfillment services to facilitate the large order sizes anticipated.

June 2011 Update

The company has completed its business assessment report for rehabilitation and operation of the Beach Haven Oil Terminal located in Berwick, Pennsylvania in the Marcellus Shale region.  The company reviewed facility alternatives for fuel distribution, bio-diesel refining and natural gas well brine water recycling with respect to environmental factors, financial parameters, and integration with C. Trade’s existing logistics and fuel trading network and extensive experience in water remediation and management.

The facility is large enough to add a bio-diesel refining operation of 24MM gallons/yr or its tank storage system could be converted to remediate and recycle brine water used in gas well production.  Recycling brine water for reuse can significantly reduce the environmental impacts of discharging the water into rivers and streams, a common practice in Pennsylvania until earlier this year.

Industry drillers have been proactive in searching for a recycling/remediation process in addition to onsite processes that can effectively remediate the chemical additives in the brine water used for oil well production and the backflow generated from the well.  In Pennsylvania, the brine has been treated by various methods and often discharged into the rivers where environmental concerns have been raised.  With 2.5MM gallons of above-ground tankage available for fluid processing and the proprietary Green Mountain remediation processes and strategic location of the facility in the Marcellus shale region, there are significant financial incentives to develop and process brine water as a solution to the environmental concerns as well as conserving valuable water resources by recycling brine and thereby reducing the drawdown of existing water table levels.

The terminal operations team is evaluating the report recommendations in conjunction with local environmental concerns, capital and logistics requirements for site conversion to a recycling operation, alternative market opportunities, and site owner requirements.  The company plans to have a definitive implementation plan in place before the year end.

Growth Strategies Currently under Consideration

GMND is currently evaluating various opportunities for future growth and expansion including:

1.       JV opportunities with Natural Gas Vehicle (NGV) conversion component suppliers.  With recent discussion in Congress of the NAT GAS bill and significant changes in engine certification requirements, there exists a burgeoning market for diesel to natural gas conversion for 18 wheelers and truck fleets in public and private enterprises where GMND could bring together OEMs for engine rebuilding and sourcing with engine management system (conversion kits) suppliers.  Discussions with various parties have already been started.

2.       Fuel terminal operations in niche markets such as electric vehicle refueling, bio-fuels, and NGV refueling stations are in their infancy and will be expanded in the future opening new markets for distribution opportunities associated with rest stops, motels and other convenience stops.  GMND is developing strategies to represent technology providers and distribute and maintain the products with rest stop operators.

3.       Development of product strategies for remediation and recycling products for use on offshore oil platforms, oil terminals, etc needing waste disposal, remediation, and recycling of used oils, hydraulic fluids, cleaning fluids, etc using a combination of natural and chemical products.

4.       International opportunities for natural fertilizers for food production in arid or resource limited countries.  Both export and in-country production pricing strategies are being investigated as specific opportunities are being requested.

The company continues to receive business opportunities requests and is evaluating the resource requirements and logistics required to implement each one to contribute to long term future growth.
